- Atlanta was founded in 1837 as Marthaville, Atlanta is a city over 420,000 people. It is the largest city in Georgia, as well as the state capital.
- Atlanta is located North central and its home to over 500 companies, including household names such as Coca-cola company, Delta airlines, Home Depot, and UPS.
- Georgia's new state flag was adopted in May 8, 2003. The Georgia flag has two red stripes and one white stripe and the state coat of arms on the upper left corner. Thirteen stars surrounding the seal demonstrates Georgia's position as on of the original colonies. On the same seal there are three pillars supporting an arch which means Georgia also has three branches of government: Legislative, Judicial, and Executive.
